High School Old Boys' Rugby Club celebrates an incredible milestone — our 125th anniversary (or for the Latin lovers, our quasquicentennial).
The celebrations are locked in for the weekend of May 8–10, 2026 and planning is well underway to honour the rich history of our great club.

125 Years Strong: A Gala Celebration
Saturday 9 May | 6:30pm till late
This will be a memorable evening at the Silks Lounge, Level 2, Addington Event Centre, 75 Jack Hinton Drive, Ōtautahi Christchurch.
Catch up with old team mates and their whānau where you will enjoy a 3-course set menu, with alternate drop for mains with a drink on arrival.
Get ready to dance the night away with Ayr St band, who are all ex-HSOB players. Their name comes from the street of the previous club rooms.
The evening will feature couch interviews with some of the club’s most successful rugby players with Ben Hurst. We hope to announce soon who these ex-players will be.
Throughout the evening there will be a short, but exciting live auction with 4 packages, along with raffles, so bring along some cash as Eftpos facilities aren’t available for raffles.
You can purchase single tickets at the early bird price of $150 with no allocated seating or book a table of 10 for $1,500 to be guaranteed to have a dedicated table with your mates.
After 3 April 2026 tickets will increase to $170 for a single and $1,700 for a table of 10.

Ticket Sales
Tickets for the dinner can be purchased here.
You will be asked to provide an email address, cell phone number, and, if relevant, the decade you played rugby for HSOB. Additionally, you will be asked to nominate who you think is the most notable First XV player from your decade.
The committee, at their discretion, may publicly promote your attendance to other potential attendees. You will have the opportunity to opt out.
If you are purchasing multiple tickets (including purchasing a table), you will also be asked the names, email addresses and mobile numbers of the other ticket holders. If you don't yet have this information, you can provide it at a later date.
This information is required for name badges and entry purposes. Tickets will be emailed electronically and name badges will be collected as you arrive at the dinner.
A GST invoice and receipt will be sent with a confirmation email. If you don’t receive it within 30 minutes of completing your purchase please check your spam filter as sometimes the emails from the software get trapped.
Terms and Conditions
Cancellations
Tickets are non refundable but can be on sold or transferred to another person. Any ticket changes must be advised in writing to lucy@hardingconferences.co.nz to be considered valid. All fees are payable in full irrespective of whether the invoice has been paid or not at the time of amendment.
Credit Card Payments
Please be advised our payment service provider Centium Software, is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant. This means, your card holder data is protected to the highest possible levels, from data entry into our online registration sites, through to payment into the banks. You will be charged a merchant fee of 3.75% for Visa and MasterCard and 4.00% for AMEX, to be added to your total.
Use of photography/videography
By attending the dinner, guests give permission for their images captured during the event through video or photo to be used in promotional and commercial materials, publications and on related websites for High School Old Boys' Rugby Club and/or Harding Conferences. Your name and contact details may be provided to sponsors of the event but will not be forwarded to any other organisations.
